My Shelf Monday: Eon and Eona by Alison Goodman

Publisher: Puffin Canada/Firebird

Description (from Eon):

For years, Eon’s life has been focused on magical study and sword-work, with one goal: that he be chosen as a Dragoneye, an apprentice to one of the twelve energy dragons of good fortune.

But Eon has a dangerous secret. He is actually Eona, a sixteen-year-old girl who has been masquerading as a twelve-year-old boy. Females are forbidden to use Dragon Magic; if anyone discovers she has been hiding in plain sight, her death is assured.

When Eon’s secret threatens to come to light, she and her allies are plunged into grave danger and a deadly struggle for the Imperial throne. Eon must find the strength and inner power to battle those who want to take her magic… and her life.

Where did I get it from?

I bought Eon on a whim while at Chapters, and my friend gave me Eona for my birthday (thanks, Ally!)

Why did I get it?

I’d heard so many wonderful things about this series, and I couldn’t fight off the urge to buy it when I saw it.

Have I read it?

Yes ||| No

Why haven’t I read it?

I DON’T KNOW THERE HAVE JUST BEEN OTHER BOOKS I GUESS BUT I REALLY REALLY WANT TO READ IT.

Where is it on my TBR?

Close to the top, clearly.

My Shelf Monday is a weekly post on my blog in which I discuss one of the books/series that I own. It’s a way to catalogue my book collection, and it also acts as a slow, miniature tour of my shelves.

Thanks for reading!
