Marguerite Caine’s physicist parents are known for their groundbreaking achievements. Their most astonishing invention, called the Firebird, allows users to jump into multiple universes—and promises to revolutionize science forever. But then Marguerite’s father is murdered, and the killer—her parent’s handsome, enigmatic assistant Paul— escapes into another dimension before the law can touch him.
Marguerite refuses to let the man who destroyed her family go free. So she races after Paul through different universes, always leaping into another version of herself. But she also meets alternate versions of the people she knows—including Paul, whose life entangles with hers in increasingly familiar ways. Before long she begins to question Paul’s guilt—as well as her own heart. And soon she discovers the truth behind her father’s death is far more sinister than she expected.
Where did I get it from?
Why did I get it?
Like a lot of other people, the covers totally hooked me. The story sounded really interesting, too – inter-universe travel? Sign me up!
Have I read it?
Yes ||| No
I read the first book, but have yet to read the second one!
What did I think of it?
A Thousand Pieces of You was pretty good – I gave it 4/5 stars and reviewed it on my booklr. It is a little romance heavy, and there is a kind of love triangle in it, so reader beware!
Who do I recommend this for?
- People who like sci-fi
- People who like romance
- People who like inter-dimensional stuff
- People who don’t mind love triangles
My Shelf Monday is a weekly post on my blog in which I discuss one of the books/series that I own. It’s a way to catalogue my book collection, and it also acts as a slow, miniature tour of my shelves.
Thanks for reading!
